Difference between Evince, Evoke and Invoke

Evince means to exhibit or show something clearly.

  • Paul McCartney evinced an amazing talent for music as a child.

Evoke means to bring out something hidden or unexpressed.

  • The music evoked many good memories of Molly’s college days.

Invoke means to call upon for help or to activate something.

  • The defendant invoked the Fifth Amendment during the trial. You can invoke that command by pressing the Enter key twice.
