Difference between “Odd Fellow” and “odd fellow”

Odd Fellow—(U.S.) a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, a social and charitable fraternity:

odd fellow—(also: odd man) a man who is regarded as eccentric or crazy:

  • In general, Robert is an odd fellow, not understood by his friends, and unable to understand them at the same time.
